NOCSAE Helmet Information

All helmets must have NOCSAE certified approved face masks attached. Allthough there has been controversy over this ruling, Craig Cress, a member of the National Office staff, stated as long as it has a NOCSAE approved seal on both the helmet and face mask, it will be good for championship play.

Many sporting good stores do not have these face masks in stock as of yet, so if you are planning on purchasing this equipment soon, make sure they have the NOCSAE “seal of approval” on them.

NOCSAE (National Operating Committee on Standards for Athletic Equipment) was established in 1969, which sets the standards for the equipment to be used for the safety of the players. These standards are used by many different sports throughout the USA.
